Comments about PetSafe Extra In-Ground Deluxe Little Dog Fence Receiver:

I love the size of the collar and the snap on and off feature. It has a much smaller shock to it by comparison with the regular collars which makes me more comfortable putting it on my 10 lb dog and the system WORKS! HOWEVER....the battery life is soooooooo poor and you can't just replace it with a battery purchased over the counter. The issue with the battery is my only complaint about this system albeit a big complaint.

I purchased this collar because the larger one looked ridiculous on my dog. The other collar lasts a good 5-6 months...this one, 30 days. Why does it constantly have to blink?? Why couldn't they design it like the other one? I just came online to see if they fixed the problem, but I guess there weren't enough negative reviews. If you guys fix it so it doesn't constantly blink I would love to EXCHANGE it.

If you have a small dog and are considering purchasing a radio fence system, look at other brands. The PetSafe little dog collar is terrible! The battery only last about 1 month if you're lucky, and that's if you turn it off anytime the dog is inside (to help extend battery life). It uses the RFA-188 battery - very expensive![...]
