KNOXVILLE, TN – The votes are in! PetSafe® Village is pleased to announce its Monster Dog Makeover Contest winner, Comet. Voted as the area’s worst behaved dog, Comet will join the PetSafe® Village residency program for a complete behavior makeover while runner-up pups, Jag and Maggie will each receive three one-on-one training sessions with PetSafe® trainer, Mike Shafer, to help re-direct unwanted behavior. “Comet doesn't really listen. He does occasionally sit for a second, and then he's up and running again. He constantly picks fights with the big cat and tries to eat the smaller one (seen in the video),” said Chelsea, Comet’s owner. “If he's outside off the leash, there is nothing you can do but chase him until you can outsmart him or find food. It's a constant game of keep away. I once chased him down Middlebrook Pike, just trying to stay between him and the cars.”
Taking the grand prize all the way back to the dog house, Comet will join the PetSafe® Village Unleashed Residency Program, which entails a complete behavior makeover at the training facility, four weeks of boarding, day camp, a spa treatment and a PetSafe® product prize pack at a total value of $3,000.
After much barking, chewing and disobedient behavior caught on camera, PetSafe’s® panel of judges determined the top eight videos, showcasing some of Knoxville and the surrounding area’s worst behaved dogs.
