My body runs free in a dog park. My body runs free like the wind. My body is playing with others so nice. Oh please place your votes so we win. Bring us, bring us, bring us our own Twp doggy park. Let us, let us, let us win the grand prize. I'm happy and healthy and social, because of the parks I attend. I go once a month to a town with a pond, but the distance seems far for a swim, Winning the prize for the dog park, will allow me to go every day. I'll run and swim with the new friends I make so please let the voting begin.

A dog park would be such a plus for the people and pets of our community as well as the surrounding area where there is nothing like it for miles. A dog park people together, make for healthier dogs, and show others that we value life as well as caring lifestyle for people and animals. We would be very fortunate to win!

Win or lose, I couldn't be more proud of our community. We really rallied to get the word out, and Wing Thiele and Ted Barss have been very generous with their valuable time and purchasing t-shirts, cards, prizes. Big thanks to our video stars, videographers, parade walkers, and volunteers, too! The parade was a beautiful night and our Facebook page added lots of new fans the next day. Thank you, thank you to everyone who has played a part in this!

Our Fort Gratiot community definitely needs a Pet Safety community. Everyone should support this for our precious little fur babies.

Boat Week B4YP Campaign 2015
Look for us in beautiful downtown Port Huron in the Rotary Parade Wednesday, July 15, Thursday during Family Night and Friday during Boat Night. We'll be in blue, marked with a paw print, letting you know how you can help the Blue Water Area win a dog park in Fort Gratiot, MI! Previous Events: Our generous and dedicated community members have volunteered to make a promotional video to raise awareness of the contest to get the votes to win the PetSafe Bark For Your Park contest. Bring your friendly, vaccinated dog to the proposed dog park where we will film the video. Your dog could be a STAR! If it is raining Saturday morning, please come back to this page for possible time change. Meet us Saturday, June 20, at 10:30 AM at the Fort Gratiot Pond Park (Scarecrow Saturday park) at 4888 Parker Road, on the east side of Parker Road between Keewahdin and Carrigan Roads. The Fort Gratiot Pond is directly north of the proposed dog park site located at the McIntyre Park at 4788 Parker Road. Your dog must be socialized and vaccinated. This is an open field, so please do not bring dogs that may run away. Bring a leash and bags to clean up after your dog. We are especially looking for friendly dogs that can speak or howl on command. Keep on barking on! UPDATE: You may want to bring a folding chair to watch your fur kids play, as there aren't a lot of benches there. Warning - Pond Alert: if your dog has a tendency to run for water, bring a towel. The plan for the video is to only have dogs, and maybe a cat if anyone brings one, in the video with the exception of possibly in the beginning, we may have one person for the introduction. This saves us from having everyone sign a waiver release for the video. So, put on your thinking caps...if you were a dog, why would you want a dog park? And why should people vote for you to win a dog park? The funnier & cuter, the better. You can post your answer here or submit it tomorrow. Your answer may end up in the video. Remember, word it as if it is the dog talking. Many, many, paws in the air to Coordinator Wing Thiele and Videographer Kyle Coggins!
