The World According to Cooper: Independence

By Stacie Greene, Supply Chain Specialist at PetSafe

Hey everybody, it’s me, Cooper! Wow, is it ever a hot summer here in Tennessee! I’ve been going to the doggie barber shop about every 3-4 weeks since April. We just finished celebrating Independence Day. I love this holiday.

My mom told me about the importance of Independence Day for America. I was glued to my seat when she told me the story. My mom just has a way of telling stories to me that I love. As much as I loved the story of how America gained Independence, I have my own reasons for loving just the word, Independence!

My reason for loving the word Independence is it means freedom. Freedom to run in my yard, freedom to bark and play and roll in the grass and chase butterflies, and go on and off my breezeway through a door made just for me. We dogs are not always known for making the best decisions, so it is awesome that there are products that not only help us make good decisions, but also give us freedom and independence. Wireless fences and remote trainers give us independence from leashes. Do you know how much easier it is to roll in the grass when you aren’t wearing a leash? It’s the best.

Ice cream and running around off-leash are two of Cooper's favorite freedoms.

Ice cream is one of Cooper’s favorite treats and he got one, small scoop to celebrate his Independence a few weeks ago. How did you and your pet celebrate?

Holidays like the one we just celebrated also mean the freedom to eat hot dogs and hamburgers and ICE CREAM!!! I didn’t eat a lot of any of those things, just a little; it was a holiday after all.

I hope everyone had a great Independence Day and exercised their “Freedom” to choose how they roll in the grass.

Talk to you next month!

Are you still in business? I’ve been trying to phone your company all week and keep getting messages that the system is being updated. Can’t even get through to accounting or to an operator.
