Hi everyone, it’s me Cooper! Summer is starting to wind down and we have had some outstanding weather lately. As a matter of fact the weather has been so good that me and my mom have been taking advantage of the local restaurants here in Knoxville that have pet-friendly patios. Let me tell you there are a bunch of them.
In the past three weeks, we have gone to three different restaurants. First, we went to Cru. They have a great patio with big umbrellas. They always bring me cold water, and though my mom always packs my lunch, but I can usually get a few bites of whatever she is having. On a 4 paw scale, I give Cru 3.5 paws.
The next place we went to was Smoky Mountain Brewery. It was a little hot the day we went there, but they have shaded areas which was nice. It is very clean and they made a real fuss over me. They brought me a huge bowl of ice water and kept the refills coming. I’m sure they would have cooked me something special, but of course mom packed my lunch. I did get some French fries though and they were very good. Another 3.5 paws for the Smoky Mountain Brewery.
The last restaurant we have gone to lately is Pelancho’s Mexican Grill. Me and mom like this one so much, we have been twice. What a great place! They have a separate patio for pups and their humans. It is completely covered, cooled with ceiling fans and has toys, clean-up supplies just in case someone has an accident and a gate so no one runs away. They also made a huge fuss over me. Constant supply of ice water and a big smile to great me every time they came outside to check on us. Pelancho’s gets 4 paws from me.
There are many more places for me and my mom to go and try. The “real chow hound” is ready to hit all of the restaurants in town!! Keep an eye out for us; I’ll update everyone on more of our adventures next month.
Have you ever taken your pets to eat with you? Where is their favorite restaurant?
