Bark for Your Park Phase 2

What does the PetSafe® Bark for Your Park Phase 2 mean for your community?

Your town has been working to build votes and rally the community around the possibility of winning a local dog park. Everyone is excited, and you've built the momentum you need.

Now what?

4 things happen before and during Phase 2 that you should know.

dog at a park1- Communities are separated into Small, Medium, & Large groups.

This classification system isn’t necessarily how your community would normally be labeled. The PetSafe team classifies the communities based on all of the entrants. All eligible entrants are ordered by population based on U.S. Census data. We then divide those communities into 3 equal segments, and the top 5 move forward in the contest.

2- Vote totals are back to zero.

Phase 2 is a fresh start for all of our entrants! This means if you narrowly made the cut to finals, you have just as much chance to win as any other community. If you have already gathered votes, this is a chance to really step up your game and keep everyone motivated. The PetSafe team can help!

3- PetSafe Brand will be sending you goodies.

Each finalist community will receive a mini prize pack to help spread the word. Included are supplies like yard signs, t-shirts, window clings, stickers, posters, and even a PSA for your local stations. These, along with the digital assets on www.petsafe.net/barkforyourpark, will give you a way to communicate with your friends and family. We suggest reaching out or placing materials at places like:

  • bark for your parkLocal animal shelters
  • Community centers
  • Tourist attractions
  • Local churches
  • Neighborhoods
  • Boarding facilities
  • Veterinarian offices

4- Didn't make it to the finals? There's always next year.

If your community didn’t quite make it to the finals, don’t fret! PetSafe Brand will be hosting Bark for Your Park for years to come. We are committed to building up communities of pet lovers through donating dog parks. Bark for Your Park has had quite a few communities not make it to finials and come back the next year to take home the prize.

Remember, the best thing you can do to support your dog park dreams is to bark (vote) every day, twice a day. Good luck in the competition!
