We are in the process of trying to get a dog park in our community.  I learned about your grant program and noticed we are too late for 2016.  Do you know of other options out there to get money for a dog park in our town?

Hi Julie,

We’d love to see your community apply for Bark For Your Park grants next year!

You can also work on getting funds lots of other ways. Local fundraisers, sponsors, shelter partnerships, and public funding sites are all great ideas.

Here are some articles to get you started.

I just heard that our neighboring town - Guilford was a 10K winner!  So happy for them… Many of them came to our Park, as it was the only one (& first) on the Shoreline for the last 5 years… We are coming up on our 5th year anniversary this coming June 2017 - I’d love to submit for the makeover grants… we’re a medium-sized park in need of some serious sprucing up, maybe even adding a small dog area.  Anyway, it’s amazing you guys offer this wonderful program…. Do you have the dates of when to enter for next year yet so I can mark my calendar?  Thanks so much! Laurie

Hi Laurie,

Yes, we’re very happy for Guilford, Connecticut and all of our Bark For Your Park winners!

Check back next year to apply for a grant for your city’s park. We’ll post a new schedule soon at http://www.petsafe.net/barkforyourpark/
