Premier has chew replacement policy for all of our nylon products because we know:
- Dogs chew things
- Sometimes people, like ourselves, don’t pay complete attention to their dog every second
We get it, it has happened to us. The puppy we just took for a walk in the park is now riding quietly (RED ALERT) in his crate and has chewed his Easy Walk Harness in two on the way home. Yes, we should have taken the harness off while he wasn’t being supervised, but it’s only a few miles and he had a chew toy in the crate. Well, don’t worry-- we have your back! 
Although nylon has many great attributes that make it a great choice for constructing harnesses and headcollars it is not chew proof. It is strong, supple, durable, lightweight, washable, affordable and available in lots of colors but no, not chew proof.
I recommend giving the harness or headcollar a once over each time you put it on your dog. Check for any places that may have been chewed or snagged. Replace if damaged. It is always better to replace when any damage occurs, as the safety of your companion may depend on that nylon.
Puppies can be tough on everything from leashes to couches, and those teeth are sharp. Supervise them whenever they are wearing a collar, harness or headcollar.
They can snag a harness in a blink of an eye. Of course puppies aren’t the only offenders. Adult dogs have also been known to remove their harnesses themselves if you forget! Sometimes it is us humans that leave the headcollar or leash around and, boy, does nylon make a great tug toy. Your dog’s gear can get damaged not only by teeth, but just like clothing and shoes, sharp edges and ultimately normal wear and tear can necessitate replacement.
