Solar Eclipse and Pets

Are you prepared for the solar eclipse? Millions of Americans will be watching on Monday, August 21, 2017 as the moon travels across the sun and blocks the light. How will your pets react?

Some studies have shown that plant and animal life have a reaction to environmental changes during a solar eclipse, but there is not much documented evidence on how it could affect your pets. The California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco is hoping to change that. Before, during and after the eclipse, animal lovers can help with worldwide research. The academy is inviting what they call “citizen scientists” to record the behavior of their animals with an app.
