The collar picks up a signal from a transmitter as your dog nears the boundary wires. A beep alerts your dog and most dogs do so well with training that they stop right then! For those that continue, a harmless static correction reminds them to stay in the area you’ve established.
Additional safety features help keep her in your yard more than before. Anti-Linger Prevention keeps your pet from staying in the Warning Zone for long periods of time and draining the battery. Progressive Run Through Prevention works by increasing the correction if your pet tries to quickly run through the boundary zone.
To help your pet understand her boundaries, plan to complete three training sessions per day, each lasting 10-15 minutes until your pet is completely comfortable with the system. Step-by-step training instructions are included. Depending on your pet, it may take up to two weeks for your pet to become fully trained to the system.
Installing the system is an easy weekend project for the average do-it-yourselfer. Coverage includes up to 1/3 of an acre with included boundary wire and flags (and up to 10 acres with additional wire).
