PetSafe heated beds are designed to deliver continuous low levels of heat to supplement a pet’s body heat. These low levels of heat enable the pet to enjoy using the heater for several hours at a time. Do not expect these products to feel warm to the touch.

To test the unit:

• Plug the unit into a working standard wall outlet
• Wrap the bed in a blanket. This is to capture heat that is produced.
• Allow the unit to remain on for 30 minutes
• When you place your hand between the blanket and the heater, you should feel the warmth generated by the heater letting you know the unit is working.
