The heat on our heated products does not circulate on a set interval. It is controlled insulated heat and gradually reaches a maximum temperature (internal heating element typically 82 – 85 F degrees without an object on the bed and internal heating element typically 105 – 108 degrees when a pet is on the bed). Heated products are designed to match a pet’s healthy core body temperature, typically 102F degrees. The surface temperature will not feel as warm as a human heating pad. This low level heat is designed to allow for longer periods of continuous use and varies in temperature depending on the ambient room temperature, other covers or materials between the heated product and the pet.
