PetSafe heated beds are designed to deliver continuous low levels of heat to supplement a pet’s body heat. These low levels of heat enable the pet to enjoy using the heater for several hours at a time. Do not expect these products to feel warm to the touch.
To test the unit:
The heat on our heated products does not circulate on a set interval. It is controlled insulated heat and gradually reaches a maximum temperature (internal heating element typically 82 – 85 F degrees without an object on the bed and internal heating element typically 105 – 108 degrees when a pet is on the bed). Heated products are designed to match a pet’s healthy core body temperature, typically 102F degrees. The surface temperature will not feel as warm as a human heating pad. This low level heat is designed to allow for longer periods of continuous use and varies in temperature depending on the ambient room temperature, other covers or materials between the heated product and the pet.Close

Rinse the cell pad with warm water. Sanitize the surface by gently wiping it down with a disinfecting wipe. Dry thoroughly before inserting into the cover. We recommend reinserting the deflated cell pad into the cover before re-inflating the mattress. The covers are machined washable in cold water. Line dry; do not put in a dryer.
Over 30% of dogs suffer from orthopedic problems. The UnderDog mattress helps to prevent orthopedic problems by providing superior joint and muscle support. The interlocking air cell system utilized by the bed ensures your dog’s joints do not receive inadequate or excessive pressure when at rest. This will alleviate pain that has built up over the day in the joints and muscles, and will help build up your dog’s joints to withstand the rigors of the day.Close
Note: The mattress should be firm enough to support the weight of the dog without sinking to the floor. Overfilling the mattress will not provide optimum orthopedic support. Using a motorized pump has the potential to overinflate the bed to the point of popping. For safe inflation ONLY a hand pump or mouth should be used.Close
We recommend deflating the cover slightly or completely before taking the cell pad out for cleaning or storage. To deflate, twist valve counter clockwise until fully open and gently press air out.Close
