Containment Tips from the Pros

By Andrick Buggs, PetSafe Video Coordinator

When Radio Systems, PetSafe's parent company, started in 1991, do-it-yourself containment was one of our first product categories. In the last 20+ years, we have been working to make installation and pet training even easier with these products. Duane Gerig, the DIY Engineering Manager, recently helped one of our very own (see if you can figure out who!) better understand how the installation process may be quick and easy. Watch the video to learn the same tips from the pros!

What do you think? Do you feel ready to install a containment system now?

ABOUT ANDRICK Andrick is originally a native of Memphis, TN and serves as PetSafe's Video Coordinator. He is currently studying Video Production at Pellissippi State Community College. At PetSafe, Andrick is responsible for coordinating all of our videos ranging from products to philanthropic efforts. His job at PetSafe has played a bigger role in Andrick's life than he expected. A Chihuahua-Corgi mix named Faith introduced him to her owner and another PetSafe associate, Sara. Now, Andrick has adopted Faith as his own furry child and married Sara! PetSafe can now add finding love to our long list of accomplishments.

when I edged about 3 acres, I used a plastic conduit or small pvc pipe.  I threaded the wire through the pipe, followed behind the edger pushing the wire into the trench, walked behind to close the trench.  This saves a lot of time.

When I contained about 3 acres, I threaded the wire through plastic conduit or small pvc pipe.  I walked behind the edger and the pvc pipe allowed me to push the wire into the trench as it was being dug, and as walking over the trench it closed the trench immediately.

Betsy, that is a great idea!! Thanks for sharing. :)
