Hey everybody, it’s me Cooper! I know I had promised you another Chow Hound installment this month, but I have to tell you about hanging out with my buddy Henry for a week. I’m sure that you all know that Henry is Jim’s newest furry child.
Jim and his family recently went on a trip and asked my mom if she would mind if Henry came to stay with us while they were gone. You see, Henry is still really young so my mom really understood that his parents wouldn’t want to leave him with just anyone. We had so much fun. I would chase Henry and then he would chase me. My mom said we ran around the yard and the house like a couple of crazy chickens.
Me and my mom both tried to help Henry understand how important it is to share. He really didn’t want to understand what it means to have “good sandbox skills”. That’s okay though because I have good sandbox skills and I shared all of my toys and chew bones with him. I wish there were some pictures or video to share with you, but I think me and Henry kind of wore my mom out. She was too frazzled to take pictures!!
Look how little Henry is! This picture was taken on his first day to the office. I had so much fun with him when he stayed at my house.
I am really glad that mom agreed to have Henry stay with us for a week. I don’t have any brothers or sisters; it is just me and my mom. It was a lot of fun to have someone my own size to hang out with and play with.
I love playing with my mom and she never takes my chew toys so I am glad it is just me and her, but someday, who knows, maybe I can talk her into a brother or sister. Folks, if you get the chance to babysit for a friend, take it. You have no idea how much fun you will have and you might just decide that your family needs to be a little bit bigger!
Has your family ever dog-sat for a friend? How did your pets react to having another furry child in the mix? Talk to you next month!
